Walk along the rightly named " Promenade des Anglais"
From its creation, this was an appreciated place for walking along the seaside. One of its main attractions was the Casino on the pier ;
inspired by the English taste in building piers sea-side resorts. This casino was named " Jetée Promenade".
.
The first casino of the pier was built in 1882. It burned in 1883 then was reconstructed in 1891. Finally, the Germans demolished it
in 1944.
